All plaques are made of a type of granite which is only found in one quarry in the far North East of Scotland. The stone is finished in satin polish and is easily kept clean. Deep cut lettering allows for a maximum of 6 lines inscription; or you may choose to leave space for a name to be added in the future.
The Wall of Remembrance is around the Book of Remembrance building and are accessible all year round. There is also a small and large tower near the Book of Remembrance.
A plaque is leased for ten years.
- Large plaque: measures 30 cm by 15 cm and allows for an inscription of up to 120 letters of deep cut and blacked lettering.
- Small plaque: measures 20 cm by 10 cm and allows for an inscription of up to 60 letters of deep cut and blacked lettering.
Plaques will generally be prepared and fixed within 12 weeks (but times may vary). We will let you know when the plaque has been added, and where it is.
